From what I heard about the defense communication device, it seems like teams have to pre-assign two players that can wear it (only one allowed on the field). That doesn't make sense to me. What if both players get hurt? Does that mean both can't be on the field at the same time?
Why not just have two generic helmets and the team can rotate however they want, as long as there is only one on the field.
One change I've heard other people advocating is changing pass interference from being at the spot of the foul to be a 20 yard penalty (or maybe scaling, depending on the severity). For such a subjective penalty, the swing on yardage is too big.
