Martz has indeed been overly-positive in general, but a lot of camp observers have said similar things about Alex (that he's the best-looking QB among the trio). Again, it's not a surprise at this point because it's early and Alex's arm is still fresh out of rehab.

Regarding Lawson, I have doubts that he will ever become a consistent pass-rushing force. I've watched him carefully the past few years and he has a tendency to get stonewalled. Once the OT gets his hands on Lawson, it's a dead end; Manny doesn't have the strength to shed the block nor to generate any push. Hopefully the d-line can tie up some blockers and allow Manny to roam free, because he needs space to be effective.
