Daniel Brown, of the San Jose Mercury News, reports San Francisco 49ers TE Vernon Davis looked excellent during offseason minicamps. He ran more inventive routes than he did in previous offenses with the team. Offensive coordinator Mike Martz said he doesn't know anyone else in the league capable of running like Davis does at tight end. However, tight ends traditionally do not have big statistical seasons under Martz.
