I'd like to see him get another shot someplace else. I don't care that much about him personally - he's not from NorCal, he didn't go to school here or even play in the Pac 10. But he seems like a decent guy who could be a competent QB. And he got hosed because he was drafted by an incompetent buffoon and a once great franchise that is now a laughing stock.
