Of course at this point, any good thing that happens will look like gold. His long TD pass to Josh was good but bottom line, it was a blown coverage - nobody was within twenty yards of him. Any QB in the league makes that play. JT was 8 for 17 (47%), one TD and one INT. This guy has average stamped all over him. He couldn't even make second string at Detroit. I'm not saying I'm jumping for joy over Smith but giving the starting reigns to a 29 year-old journeyman is just flat out stupid. I know they haven't made the official decision but if Smith, who has way more potential than JT, gets benched... what don't they get? Smith BETTER get the reps with the first string next week.
