I have the POTENTIAL to smack you on your forehead for using the word POTENTIAL, but that doesn't mean its going to happen. Personally, I'm just sick of hearing Smith pushers believing he can do what he hasn't done for the past 3 years.

Your smacking JT for throwing a TD pass which you feel any QB can make, but i bet MR. Potential couldnt. In fact, it was evident in the game when Jason Hill was just as wide open in the end zone and sure enough Smith overthrows him as if he thought he was sitting in the stands. You do notice that even when he connects with receivers, its behind them or above them instead of in stride.

Using the excuse that its because he's unfamiliar with the offensive scheme is just lame. Is it common knowledge that QB's in their first year of a new scheme, forget how to throw to a reciever? Might telling Favre that, or Schaub when he first arrived to the Texans, or even our very own Hill. There may be concerns with Hill, but i don't seem to see him underthrowing his receivers.

I'm not JT pusher, by all means, as he still makes Favre-like decisions sometimes throwing to tpl-coverage, but at least he is showing that he's got the huevo's to take a chance at times.

Potential should have a 3yr shelf-life. After that, its time to look for another product.
