This smells like Smith was out from the get go. In Baltimore Troy Smith and Kyle Boller are rotating. Boller has been in the league 2 more years than Smith and he still gets a fair shake. I guess the Niners staff really doesn't like Smith at all. If that's the case, just name JT the 1st QB and Hill the backup. Release Smith and let him catch on with another team. As a 49er fan, I hate what I've seen in the recent years in terms of management and coaching.
