interesting that McCloughlan wanted Smith as the QB and Nolan/Martz decided opposite. It is clear that Nolan is trying to save his job and he will go with the QB that can get him an extra win or two. However, if JT doesn't work out in the first few games (and the Niners don't win), you can bet that Nolan is probably gone after the season.
