No good coach would ever take a chance using a qb with an injured throwing shoulder. Then again, no good coach would ever talk down a qb in front of the team after he found out the qb was injured. IMO, I think its possible Nolan ordered the medical staff to diagnose the injury lightly just to cover his tracks.
