"Good teams, playoff teams, don't make the kinds of mistakes the Seahawks made while losing to a team as bad as San Francisco."

I don't think we're a bad team compared to the past several years. Who was our starting WRs before Bruce and Johnson? Can you believe D-Drop was our deep threat? How many starting QBs have we gone through? Twice we've had four different starting QBs in a season. And don't forget about the OC revolving door issue.

Despite the Niners not having much of a run D and virtually no pass rush most of the game (thank Nolan for that nickel D game plan taking Lawson out except for ST), we came back from 14-0 to win in OT and should've won in regulation. But do we get any credit? No, all I read were excuses on how the Seahags should've beaten us. From my POV, we should've beaten them had Goldston tackle Jones instead of Hasslebeck on that draw play that lead to a TD and had Gore not fumbled which lead to another TD early in the game. That's 2 TDs right there plus a blocked punt that went in Seattle's favor...just bad luck for us early and the Niners overcame all that.

So, that writer can cry and complain all he wants, they gave up a big lead and got beat at home by a virtually unknown QB who threw for over 300 yards on their blitz-happy D, which hasn't been accomplished in years since Rattay, IIRC. I look forward to a re-match in our house next time w/ the same results. And Nolan, you dumb-a$$ HC, blitz more!
