I'm a NorCal native and have never in my life hated one of our teams as much as I hate this one. Please make him go away, and please do not put Martz in charge. I hope Martz was Nolan's bright idea and not Scot McClouhan's.

Nolan is a fraud.

Remember all of the coaches who were plucked from the 49ers by other teams during both the Walsh and Siefert tenures? Let's see. Sam Wyche. Bill McPhereson retired and George took over. Mike Holmgren. Mike Shanahan. Jim Fassell, Dennis Green. Ray Rhodes. Jeff Fisher. Gruden was even there as an understudy. Whenever any of these guys left, someone extremely competent was always there to step up - or, in Shanahan's case, step in, with the caliber of coaches he inherited being top notch. Nolan has one guy who I think all of us feel might be top notch - Mike Singletary and we don't know yet. That's it. Ted Tollner is an accomplished coach, but he was brought in during a fit of desperation. Nolan doesn't run a second class operation, more like 4th, fifth class. He can't be gone soon enough.
