Cutler has a fairly high salary and is due for a new 10 million per contract before any of those picks will be.
I do agree to a certain extent though, teams overvalue draft picks a bit these days. A lot of it has to do with the way people got burned on trades in the past (Herschel Walker and others). The Niners traded a 4th for Darrell Jackson 2007 and that was a bust, but their other 3 4th rounders that year were Jay Moore, Goldson, and Joe Cohen. As shitty as Jackson was, he was still the 2nd most productive of those picks.
