Based on first impression, he's exactly the type of TE I've been hoping for: dependable, tough, consistent, deceptively-athletic and smart. He's got a knack for making tough catches and is a gritty aggressive blocker. Not a terrific physical specimen (aside from his height) and almost looks goofy until he starts making plays. He had a terrific catch in the Shrine Game where he ran a seam route down the middle, lept and caught a 20-yard catch over his shoulder between multiple defenders, exactly the type of catch you see from Brent Jones, Jason Witten, Eric Johnson, etc.

It's early to make predictions, but my guess is that he could become a fan favorite.
