With two games left on the Ball State schedule, Davis was near the top of the QB prospect list. While we won't know for a few years how he will turn out as a pro, I agree that he's well worth the gamble.
As a mid-low round draft pick, the pressure will be low and the motivation high. The 49ers can be patient and take time developing him. He reminds me a bit of McNabb.
Try to project how Davis would have been slotted as a prospect had he spent three years in the USC program instead of Ball State.
I'm crossing my fingers that we get lucky and end up with a 5th round steal.
