when the draft came, they traded away picks because it was a weak draft

I wish, for once, that they were willing to trade picks for players instead if they really felt the draft was weak. It seems they are deathly afraid of trading picks because they can get cheap players that way but it is hard to fill needs when drafting BPA.

I don't think this team will go anywhere until they upgrade qb, the pass rush and the offensive line. It is unlikely they improve significantly this coming year and I hope they can improve the team quickly enough before the use up Gore. Running backs don't last forever.
