but I do think it's worth noting that we made the complete wrong call there. We could've done a number of things, but we took Alex, while the LOCAL boy who was the other top qb in question at the time has gone on to become one of the top NFL QBs.
I don't think that's whining, its just pointing out the obvious, that looking back, 5 years down the road, it sure is a bitter pill to swallow that we could've easily had a Pro Bowl caliber player, if we had only chose the Cal Qb over the Utah kook. And we made the wrong choice, when 1 of the choices was the one of the best NFL players to ever come out of Cal, at a position we still have a huge hole in. While we get to watch him in a Packer uni.
