Best situation for any QB is a blowout loss against a prevent-defense with a mediocre pass-rush. No pressure, just let loose. And playing under pressure is Alex's weakness, as he tends to panic when things get tight.
But having said that, I was very glad to see that he looks healthy. The guy has always gotten a raw deal from his critics, maybe because his personality just makes for a fun target. But he's worked hard, kept his mouth shut and improved incrementally every year. I've always had respect for his abilities and potential, despite his goofy/jittery/sensitive persona.
If his shoulder is indeed fully recovered, then he still has the potential to be a solid system-QB: a guy who has the brains to keep a playbook straight and the arm to make all the throws. He can occasionally get hot against mediocre defenses, but just don't ask him to be "the guy" because he doesn't seem to have the innate ability to rise under pressure.
