why throw Norris a 2 yard swing pass where he is running parallel to the LOS?

why have VD run out patterns where he will have to drag his feet in order to stay inbounds?

or have VD run a comeback pattern on the outside? (not a shocker that one almost got picked in the Houston game).

why is it that when Alex Smith almost threw a pick that the very next drive he gets run happy?
