Gerhart is fast enough, and I'd rather have him over Coffee (not that that's saying much).

Short area quickness is a concern, but he'll be fine in a system where he can build up a head of steam.

I don't know about the Alstott comparison though, Gerhart kind of reminds me of Eddie George, but not as good.
