Spiller would be a part-time player in the offense behind Gore. For the #13 overall pick, the Niners might want more of a full-time every-down contributor.

If a starting-quality RT is available at #13, I'd say the Niners pass on Spiller and instead seek a small/shifty/quick WR in later rounds who can double as a return man (and complement the size/strength of Crabtree and Morgan in a 3-WR set). A guy like Dexter McCluster might be available in the second or third round.
