Half the reason for taking a guy like Spiller in the 1st round is his ability as a playmaker in the return game. He'd also be a great 3rd down/spread back with dangerous speed in the open field. Best or McCluster would fill similar roles. LT doesn't compliment Gore in the same way.

Not saying we definitely should take Spiller as I agree OL and DB are bigger needs than change-of-pace back, and a KR/PR can be gotten in later rounds.

My ideal draft might go something like this:
1A: Davis/Bulaga
1B: Spiller
or
1A: Spiller
1B: Trent Williams
then
2: CB Perrish Cox
3: G/T Cirion Black

I'd also be an advocate of trading down into the late first or early second with one of the 2 firsts as I see a lot of value in that area; this looks like a really good, deep draft.
