1. Twelve other teams decided he wasn't good enough to be a franchise quarterback.
2. All the other NFL teams decided he wasn't worth trading up for.
But the Niners are supposed to see that quarterback as the savior of the franchise.
Bradford will almost certainly be the first player taken. I left him off my big board mainly as an oversight, because I know he'll be gone and therefore I don't think about him much. That said, he's coming off season-ending surgery on his throwing shoulder, he didn't have a terribly strong arm to begin with, he will need to learn how to play under center, and Oklahoma's system has made mediocre QBs look good in the past.
Clausen looks like the second coming of Ryan Leaf. QBs with his attitude issues have a very high bust rate. He has a weak arm - he has to go into a long windup to get a decent throw off. He runs like a duck. And he has had his share of injury problems as well.
These guys are only at the top of the draft because some teams are always desperate for quarterbacks, IMO. If Jake Locker had declared for this draft, I'd have been willing to trade every pick we have for him, but he decided to go back to school. I could very well be wrong - I'm not a draft genius or anything - but I just can't get excited about this quarterback class. Your mileage may vary.---------------------------------------------------------
