I think they have their QB - Nate Davis. I hear rumblings that he may not have the "ability" mentally to play the game but his skill set is huge and he's a natural leader. I don't pick a QB this year regardless. If Smith fails next year, go out and get one then. The Niners had a horrible offensive line last year. This is the "first" year Smith will have an OC two years in a row. This is a make or break year for him. They take Clausen, Davis is gone.

I personally think Clausen will fail at the NFL level. The guy is going to be an interception machine. Makes lots of stupid decisions, even though he's a good Xs and Os man.
