When they went for there second 4th down last night, I thought Nolan lost his cool. It was something like 4 and 3, and most coaches would have just kicked the field goal. It was 17-0 and they needed 3 scores to tie. Most coaches would have taken the 3, and showed confidence in his players to get 2 more TDs to tie.

When they failed again, not only did they not score points, it must have been major frustration for the players to fail two 4th down attempts.

Either Nolan's starting to lose control of the team, and he's trying to please the players who wanted to go for it. Or his boss is growing impatient and starting to come down on him, and Nolan has started becoming desperate.

Niners had so much high hopes coming into the season. They traded away their own first round pick because they were confident it wouldn't be a high one. The team has regressed, and the coach will be blamed.

I just hope that if York does fire Nolan, he has a coach in mind to replace him. Coach hiring in the York era has not been pretty. No one seem to want to coach here.
